For all you new moms out there, congratulations and please enjoy the following featured guest article! 🙂
Is there a better feeling than realizing that you just gave birth to a part of you? There isn’t a stronger and unconditional love like that of a mother. After struggling for nine long months, you deliver a new life into the world.
While many women feel absolutely wonderful for their baby, they often feel a bit low when they look at how their body has changed. The saggy breasts, the stretch marks, the broad waist often brings a sense of resignation in women regarding their bodies.
In spite of this, we should always remember that motherhood inculcates a sense of confidence, so a mark or two shouldn’t really affect us. Here are 5 reasons why you should love your body post pregnancy, because it’s beautiful in its own way.
1. You Gave Birth To A New Human Being
Look at your baby and see that you just brought a new life into the world. This baby is going to love you like no one else can and will stick by you through thick and thin. Don’t you think that your body needed a little variation to nourish this cute little being? Just remember all the struggles you faced and that your body change is worth this baby.
2. You Get Some Sexy Curves
Yes, that’s true. After hitting pregnancy, you realise that your body gets to gain good curves and weight just at the right place. If you are way too skinny, you will realise that your body shape has actually changed to getting sexier.
Learn to embrace your body the way it it is. Gradually, you can switch to exercising to shift your weight healthily but be patient in doing so. Remember, you are beautiful and no one can take that from you.
3. You Have Battle Scars
Your body gets some real scars that depict your beautiful journey of giving a new life. These are lovemarks that your baby has given you. These marks will remind you of the constant struggle that you faced while bearing that life in you. You should wear your scars as a sign of accomplishment and bravery. You are a superwoman!
4. You Just Created A Miracle
When you look at the beauty and the wonder that your body can do, you will realise that your body is a lot more than just the curves. God has given us this wonderful ability to do this miracle. Is that less than a blessing? You’re beautifully designed according to God’s will, so embrace that.
5. You Appreciate Yourself
You tend to live a healthier lifestyle when you’re pregnant. Your habits gradually change which brings about a sense of responsibility in you. You have to take care of yourself because you have to nourish the tiny creature you gave birth to. Rest, enjoy, spend time with friends and family, pamper yourself and indulge in healthy treats like dark chocolates.
Don’t forget to cherish the memories of your motherhood. Your toned body will come back to you gradually, but that shouldn’t ruin your present by thinking over it. In fact, you should embrace your new beautiful body that your baby has gifted you with.
